What does it mean to be quarantined.

This is passed on by my brother, from one of his former assistants:

#####, my former assistant went to Morocco with her fiancé and was trapped when flights were cancelled. So, when you think being in quarantine is strict here, consider this post she wrote today.

"You’re not ‘quarantined’ until the police show up, lights on, to your front door multiple times per day, making sure you haven’t left. You’re not ‘quarantined’ until you risk a 30k PLN ($7k USD) fine and/or 6 months to 8 years in prison for going outside before your two weeks are up. You’re not ‘quarantined’ until your friends have to stand 10 feet back from your front door, just in case."

So if you are in the US and you think you're "quarantined", give pause.

So true. I was on a conference call w/ a teammate of mine in Bangalore, India. She said there are reports of people being beaten by the police for being out on the street when they are not allowed to be there. Scary.
