For me, when I went to Cancun, I forgot to bring organic mineral (aqua water) based sunscreen which is required to enter some attractions (if you need sunscreen).
For Hilton Head Island, I added "bug repellent" on my 'must bring' list, I couldn't find any on local grocery stores and couldn't stand bug bites in summer.

What are 'should not forget packing list' when you go to Mexico, especially for Cabo area?
Please share your ideas. Thanks!

Cabo is desert, despite the ocean. This time of year, it cools off quickly when the sun sets. Take a sweater or light jacket even if swimwear is the uniform of the day. Sunscreen is an obvious pack-it item. Beach shoes might be nice as the beaches are not the sugar-soft white sand of Cancun.

As always when you travel- take half as many clothes and twice as much money as you think you'll need. :)

It will depend what time of year you are going, but if it's in the spring and fall, a light wrap or sweater will be good for after sunset. It can get cool.

Otherwise, pack light and casual. I agree with the suggestions already provided above.

My surf rod! :D And a big envelope stuffed with discounted vouchers for favorite restaurants and activities (purchased ahead of time from Los Cabos Guide). And binoculars. We always go during whale season, so we like to watch the whales from our balcony

I like to have binoculars (whale watching; cruise ship watching, looking at fishing boats from the balcony, etc.)

Small first aid kit; Trappers List of restaurant recommendations.

Sunscreen last month in Puerto Vallarta was costing close to 20 dollars, so better off buying it at home.

Sounds like all the previous had good ideas. We too have learned to pack light as one never needs much except the swimsuits, cover-ups, sunscreen, one or 2 shorts and tees. We each use a carry on. The only other thing we do is check through a cooler with wheels so we can bring back the wonderful fish we catch & freeze to bring home. We put things in the cooler that we will use at our timeshares. (examples are crackers, popcorn, wine, cereal etc.) We know we can purchase all of those things but this works so the cooler is empty when we come home.
We are packing this week for 3 weeks in Mazatlan so I just finished washing the clothes we took to Cozumel in January and will repack the carry-on and we are ready. Sure lots faster to pack to come home! At the El Cid Marina in Mazatlan they have a laundry and the gal will wash our clothes for a very reasonable price plus a tip so that works great for taking less clothes.

I put everything into my backpack, usually 7 days worth of clothes (then do laundry if I need to), alarm clock and toiletries. I also try to pack a good attitude :)
