Norton 360, and firewall.

do you have either installed?

As I sit here down at a resort in MB using the available Wifi.

I also think that if someone trys to hook on to you while using Wifi, you'll get a msg warning you.

I'm sure if someone disgrees with what I just typed, the'll post and you'll get the answer to your question.

Just make sure when you are out and using Wifi, you know who it is you are using to connet, as a list will pop up and you choose the one you want to be connected through.

Hope this helps at least a bit.

mlsmn, I am using my ASUS 700 eeepc (linux) as I type this in Portugal. It has built-in anti-virus. So far I have found no evidence of attacks, and of course I don't open executable attachments. I suppose smarter people than me will argue, but my portable computing is fairly limited and my feeling is that most viruses are written for Windows, so other than 'safe Internet use', I'm not adding anything on that isn't upgradeable in the original configuration. Just my opinion.
