Spending Thanksgiving week in Vail for the first time. What are the chances of snow during that time? The season officially begins that week, we're hoping some of the runs are open.

Thanks!!!

Thanks for the feedback Dave*H. We're so excited to be back, it's been 20 yrs!!...I bet lots has changed since, I'm sure it's still as beautiful if not more. Looking into getting a TS in the area, too bad there aren't many good ones in Vail. We're gonna drive out to Breckenridge and check out Grand Timber Lodge, Valdoro and Lodge at Peak 7.

One thing to keep in mind is that Breck is ~ 10,000 MSL. That means you never get lower than that 24/7. Vail is ~ 2,000 ft lower, and for some folks, that's the difference between being able to do it or not. Where are you staying?

Yes, I'm a bit concerned about the altitude in Breck, hopefully we'll adjust well. Staying at the Arrabelle, I've heard it's nice? I couldn't find any TS to exchange and accommodate all of us. We're a group of 14, ranging in age from 8 mos to 80 yrs old!!...hard to plan and please everyone.

Everybody should be more than happy with the Arrabelle. As far as seeing how you do in Breck, you'd need to stay > 24 hrs.
