I am thinking of trying to get a reservation for next june for payson or pinetop. what are peoples favorite resorts there and are there some that should be avoided. Am going to need a 2bd. I have II and rci. There are weeks available in I.I. for june for kohls ranch and pmv at roundhouse that I can see with my scottsdale or sedona weeks. I have not deposited them with II but they are offering me an AC for the weeks . Was also wondering if any would have an Idea if it would be likely for me to use and AC I would get for a Pinetop or kohls ranch next june.

what are you looking to do in the pinetop or payson area during march?
At 5,000 feet Payson Winters are cool with some snow.
In March expect highs of 61 F and lows of 29 F
Its been a few years that I visited thoes resorts so i hesitate to give a opinion on them as they very likely have changed alot.

I meant to say june, We Live in phoenix and would be wanting to do some hiking and fishing, aside from just being lazy and cooling off from the heat.

I was really hoping If someone who has an ac with II could see if it would be good for payson or pinetop for june 2009.

Your best bet is to go to the Sightings and Distress board and ask for a Sighting. That's one of the functions of that board.

Kohl's Ranch gets my vote. My husband says June is probably just a little late for trout but there is a hatchery a few miles up Christopher Creek. Just try to avoid wading in after some of the breeders! We have passed by some of the others but, I don't get that far away from Phoenix (even in the summers) and the reviews haven't aroused my curiosity. It's time to get some recent reviews (or should I just check first??!!)

Khols Ranch is a mixed bag when it comes to the units.
It has several older studio type units in the main lodge building and some small older 1 & 2 bedroom cabins. They also have newer 1 & 2 bedroom units that were built in the last five years.
