Hi, I am new to the TUG thread and found this site after sitting through a 90 minute presentation at MBP in FL this week. I wanted to research if the sales rep was giving us an inflated price ($30,900 + 235,000 pts for a 2 Br Platnum lock-out). Needless to say, I'm glad I found TUG!! So now that I have been educated somewhat on the resale aspect, I wanted to ask, what are the best or top locations to purchase for trading and getting the best bang for the buck? If anyone could offer any insight on that, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!

There is no one size fits all answer to your question. You need to read through many posts on this board to get a feel for how the Marriott system and trading works. The basic rule of thumb is buy at a resort that is close to your home and buy at a resort that you would like to go to frequently (say every other year at least). Close to home to avoid high airfares every year. Go to frequently - because your home resort is usually the easiest one to get your desired week during the time you desired. Also a big factor is the time of year you want to travel. If you have kids that restricts you to certain weeks during the year.
