I presently have a 1 bedroom presidential booked at Bonnet Creek for myself, wife, and son. But now my sister wants to join us.

So we'd prefer a 2 bedroom but could easily deal with the 1 bedroom with the pull-out sofa if we had too.

So what are the odds that I would be able to get an upgrade to a 2 bedroom in the 30 day window?

Thanks!

It all depends on when you are going. During the holiday times it's harder than during the slower times.

100% if you are willing to check availability often.

A 2 bedroom presidential will be a lot harder than a 2 bedroom deluxe, which is the same amount of points as a 1 bedroom presidential.

ok thanks. I'm going 2nd week of April. So it may be some areas spring break time.

Also I want to stay in the Presidentials. So I'd prefer the 1 bedroom Pres. over the 2 bedroom deluxe.

I'm assuming these upgrades are only for the VIP members?

I just checked the 2nd week of April. You are competing with Spring Break and the Easter holiday. This is all the inventory left:
04/09/2012 7 1 Bedroom Deluxe 128,000 N/A
04/09/2012 7 1 Bedroom Deluxe 128,000 N/A
04/09/2012 7 1 Bedroom Deluxe 128,000 N/A
04/09/2012 7 1 Bedroom Presidential 168,000 N/A
04/13/2012 3 1 Bedroom Presidential 60,000 N/A
04/09/2012 7 2 Bedroom Deluxe 168,000 N/A
04/09/2012 7 2 Bedroom Deluxe 168,000 N/A
04/13/2012 3 2 Bedroom Deluxe 60,000 N/A

As you can see, there are no 2BR PR Units in the current inventory. If you really want to be in Bdgl #6 and you want the extra space,(and you have the points) you might want to grab another 1BR PR unit. Then as you get closer to your checkin date if nothing pops up in availablity, you have the 2 Units and no one is stuck on a sleeper sofa. There is always a chance that someone has a Unit reserved and will cancel, then that Unit will pop up in the inventory. You have to be persistent and check everyday.

I do not think the presidentials have sofa beds... you should call BC to check for sure. If I am correct, the one bedroom will not be sufficient for your guests to join you. ((I know deluxe do have sofa beds)
I do get the upgrades most of the time, but I also check very frequently when eligibility allows. They can be there one minute and gone the very next.

Good Call Marge!
We usually stay in the PR Units when we are at Bonnett Creek. I have never had a sofa sleeper in the Unit, but I have never stayed in a 1BR PR. According to the Wyndham website, the 1BRPR's do have sofa sleepers. I would call to make sure.:
Unit Type 1 BR Deluxe 2 BR Deluxe 3 BR Deluxe 1 BR Pres 2 BR Pres 3 BR Pres 4 BR Pres
Beds: K(king), Q(queen), D(double), T(twin), B(bunk beds), QS(queen sleeper sofa), DS(double sleeper sofa), QM(queen murphy bed), DM(double murphy bed). Special Features: FP(fireplace), L(loft), HT(outdoor hot tub), WF(Wi-Fi/wireless internet), BB(broadband connection), DU(dial-up connection).
Occupancy (Max./Priv.) 4/2 or 4/4 8/4 or 8/6 10/6 or 10/8 4/4 4/4 8/6 12/8 or 12/12

The cut & paste did not keep the same format, but it did say K,QS under 1 BR Pr.

Thanks, we were actually just there last week.

The 1 bedroom presidentials do have a queen sofa bed.

One other problem we are going to have is that we have a split reservation. We're going from tues-tues.

Is this going to effect the chances of getting the upgrade?

most likely will have to switch rooms.

Are both reservations the same room number now? You may have to switch anyways if not.
