I want to apply for an AMEX Blue cash back card and get rid of my AMEX Gold that accumulates airline miles. There are 2 different Blue cards that I am looking at. One is the Blue Cash everyday card with No Annual Fee and the other is the Blue Cash Preferred Card with a $75 annual fee that gives more of a % back on money spent. My average monthly AMEX bill is $4,000 and I always pay it off in full. I spend a lot on gas, groceries, etc. Any suggestions?

I personally use Costco's AMEX card. No annual fee and 3% back on fuel, 2% at restaurants and 1% everywhere else including Costco....

I have Costco AMEX as well. However, in the OP's situation there may be better options. The OP should be able to do some simple calculations based on spending habits and decide for herself which card makes the most sense. It would seem to me that, in general, if one is charging $50K/yr on their AMEX, then the higher reward percentage will more than offset any annual fee (within reason, of course).

Jet blue's card gets enough miles up front for a free flight and miles accumulate quite fast also.

The Fidelity Amex is free, and earns 2% on everything. If you have a Fidelity account, you can have the rebate gets transfered to your account automatically.

I have the clear blue Amex that gives 5% back on gas, food and drug store after $6500 spend. By year's end we get about $1200 is cashback.
