Hello, heading to Westin and looking for some information would appreciate help
1. are there shuttles to different beaches from resort ? costs? *do they run in Sept?
What are the costs for taxis to the beaches? Cruz Bay?
2. Jeep rentals from resort for a day costs?
3. Coming in on the private ferry, how easy is it to use during visit to go shopping? Does it only go to Redhook?

any other helpful tips would be great, was there briefly 2 years ago, had rented a car from St. Thomas.

No "shuttles" but there are 'taxis' that hold around 12-20 people and charge per person (see attachment). Service is ubiquitous to Cruz Bay and the major beaches...but I wouldn't rely on them to get to/from some of the east coast destinations listed (YMMV).

There are a bunch of different companies that offer 4WD vehicle rentals. Last time we were at WSJ we took a vehicle we rented on St Thomas over on the car barge, for our next trip we chose Sunshine's jeep rental. Their daily rate varies from $70-$130 depending on vehicle and season.

No idea about the private ferry, but we did take the public ferry to Red Hook and back from Charlotte Amalie. Both were extraordinarily well priced.

That is kind of what we saw when there (trolley/open type vehicles taking people places, do you tip on top of that? Def can add up for 3-4 people to/from the beach. Considering renting a vehicle for 1-2 days to do more sight seeing on those days. Thank you again

We only took the taxis to/from Cruz Bay which was $7 per person to which I usually added an extra $1. Though we chatted with other people at WSJ who didn't have cars and took the taxis to/from the beach every day.
