Hi I have a question about WSJ Coral Vistas but I guess it's about Vistana ownership in general: I just purchased Diamond season resale with 81,000 home options. My deal hasn't closed yet so I can't ask Vistana directly. If there is a date I want in January that is available but My 81,000 home options will only get me a studio but all of the studios are taken, can I talk to Vistana and book a 2 BR by making up the difference with cash?

No, it is my understanding if you don't have enough options you are out of luck. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. You also cannot buy options to make up the difference. One suggestion you could try(and I don't know if this works with HO) is prepay the maintenance fees for the following year so you would have enough options. Of course then you can't vacation the following year.

You could borrow or you could stay for a shorter period of time too.....neither is ideal, but the nature of not owning in St John in the season. Tends to book up pretty quick at the 8 mo window.

Thank you both. I have a fixed week in VG 2nd week in January I also purchased. That's locked in. So I wanted to use my other week in CV in the 3rd week. I asked the seller to book a 2BR for 4 days in CV using my 81,000 home options. Then I called the Westin and bought 3 more days in that 2 BR CV villa. So I have my 2 weeks. It's not ideal but it was too late to land a studio. Next year after my contracts go to closing I will be sure to book my 3rd week studio diamond season at 12 months out to make sure I don't lose out. Thanks for your help!
