I just called about the preview package and they have availability when I wan to go. The only problem is that it is a hotel room not a villa. They said once I book it I can upgrade to a villa but I don't trust them What do you think? Anyone have luck doing that? I have 3 young kids so one room won't work we need at least a 1 bedroom. Also is this resort good for kids?

Thanks

I would not reserve it unless they guarantee a villa because the hotel room isn't even at the resort - there are no hotel rooms at the resort. If you do get a hotel room, they usually won't allow 5 in a standard room for 4 - nor would a family of 5 be comfortable in a hotel room. Also - they may charge you (a lot) for an upgrade - did they say "free" upgrade?

The main downside to this resort is that it isn't on the beach - but it has nice pools. I don't know if that would matter to your family or not.

If you use the search function (Search this forum button) you will find a lot of posts and pictures from Tuggers who have visited the resort recently. Also - check the TUG review pages.

I'll be there in November on a preview package. Since the hotel is closed, I'll be on property but in a studio. I don't know when the hotel opens again, but you could check the Starwood site to see.

Good point! The studio is not just a hotel room:

Denise, thanks for the info. This will be the first studio I've been in with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. I'm impressed.
