WMH is now charging $20 per hour for tennis. On a positive note there are great new cushions on the loungers at the East pool.

A court fee? That's not a bad price. Guess they didn't expect such a loss in revenue when the pro moved to the report nexy door. We'll be playing on them at New Year's. Hopefully it won't be as windy as WKORV was this morning.

We were surprised to see the $20/hr price when we were there over the last Christmas break, especially after having played for so many years for free. There were not exceptions for SPG Platinums or SVO elites.
We will be there again for New Year's so I'm sure we'll run into each other at the tennis courts, just like a couple of years ago. We'll have to go to Las Cazuelas Nuevas again!

IMO, if owners pay for the upkeep of these courts in their MFs, then they shouldn't charge a fee for owners (or their guests) to use them.

These courts are part of the Westin hotel, as opposed to the timeshare. Left side of the map is the hotel complex; right side is the timeshare:

I would guess the timeshare owners are not paying for the upkeep, etc., but it would be a good question to ask.

Golf on the hotel's courses is extra (but reduced). Why should tennis be free?

The only valid criticism might be if there is no reduced rate for timeshare guests being provided to the hotel's tennis courts by the timeshare resort. Is the fee for using the courts the same for timeshare owners and their guests as the fee for hotel guests? Salty

Tennis used to be free for everybody, including hotel guests and timeshare guests. It was just a few months ago that they started charging the hourly rate for the courts regardless of being a timeshare owner, hotel guest, or a walk-in. Same hourly rate for everybody.
