We own three platinum season weeks, one of which is an odd-year, bi-annual ownership at the Westin, Mission Hills. About 6 years ago, we sold a similar season week which we owned at the Marriott Desert Springs, Villas II back to Marriott at a set price of $4,500. Now that it’s all one umbrella of Vistana, I am wondering if the same scenario prevails for Westin?

No idea of what you're asking What do you mean by "wondering if the same scenario prevails for Westin?" ?
Are you asking if you can sell a week at Mission hills to westin like you sold a week at the marriott ?

Point of clarification, does Westin also repurchase units from sellers at a pre-established price?

Years ago Mariott (MVC) would sometimes buy back a week from owners They do not seem to be doing that anymore.

As far as your Westin weeks, MVC and Westin are now owned by the same parent company but so far they are not under one umbrella and at this time they are still basically two separate companies. So no they aren't buying back weeks

Thanks. That’s what I presumed. I do know from having made multiple offers during these past few years on other platinum weeks for sale at WMH that Westin does typically exercise its first right of refusal on anything <$5,000 purchase price. We’ll see how that continues in the current environment.

Did you perhaps have Marriott broker a resale? We sold two or three through their resale department for close to the same price but I don't believe that they are brokering resales any more. It was a good thing while it lasted.

It was directly through the Marriott sales office and as I recall, it applied ONLY if you had purchased the unit originally through them, not the secondary market.
