I have a couple questions regarding Westin Lagunamar through Interval International and certificates.

This will be our first winter retired and trying to figure things out.

We deposited 2 - 1bedroom weeks into II in an effort to try out the system vs just staroptions.

Question 1, Westin Lagunamar availability. We are trying to get time at Westin Lagunamar this coming February through II. A couple of observations, as there have been zero availability for Feb, but there was quite a bit for March. March is now dwindled down to mostly studios, but there were 1 bedrooms when we first started to check. According to the calendar March is a higher demand than Feb so that seemed weird. Is that consistent with what others have seen and the demand calendar is incorrect?

We purchased a encore package and were hoping to shoulder that stay with a couple weeks from II.

Question 2, II certificates. We used to always (or at least it appeared to be) see certificates available to us but never was able to use them. We upgraded to platinum II to take advantage of the guest certificates as we are taking our 3 adult children, spouses and grand children to Orlando in January and giving them each units. Shortly after upgrading, the last certificate expired I believe the end of March and nothing has appeared since??? I reached out to Mark and he replied that there is no rhyme or reason for certificates to be available and we would have to wait. Has anyone else seen new certificates since March of this year?

Question 3, renting a couple weeks at Westin Lagunamar. Any suggestions for renting a couple weeks at Lagunamar if getting them through II doesn't pan out?

Thank you in advance.

March is prime Spring Break season. We recently received a II certificate that expires in October. Redweek has rentals for March averaging around $3K/week for a 2BR.

Some owners, like us, won't find access to February 1BR Lagunamar units until sometime in June...at the start of their 8-month window. Without that, they have nothing to deposit into Interval. So hang in there a bit. We just got access to our 4th-week January booking last week. Lagunamar has a plethora of studios, but 1BR and 2BR units seldom become available to Aventuras owners until that 8-month point, as Westin commits only a negligible number of those units to the Aventuras pool. It sucks, and it was not what was promised to us, but it seems we have to live with it.

We are being patient, thanks for the reply.
