Westin Lagunamar Cancun Timeshares

We have 2 timeshares at the Westin Lagunamar Cancun (Vistana). 1 for even years and 1 for odd years. Both are paid in full and dues are also current. These were give to my sister and I by our parents and we are looking to transfer them to someone who wants them.

I have talked to the title transfer company and transfer fees are $300/title.

People will ask, so...

Lagunamar is not a mandatory resort. You don't get StarOptions to trade into other Vistana resorts in the network. You can trade in Interval if you put this in your personal Interval account.

MF's were $704.25 per unit this year (2020), or a total of $1,408.49 for both units. With an Every Other Year, you pay Vistana half the MF's every year. MF's for 2021 aren't posted yet.

Gold Plus season includes weeks 1–4, 18–23, 36–43, 48–50.

Does that MF include the VSN fee? Since this is voluntary, the new owner wouldn't have to pay that. According to the MF database, the fees were $1408.49.

Dioxide45, I think you're right. I took it off the MF database for the every other year Lagunamar, and it didn't list the VSN fee separately. I see the annual entry lists it, so the math makes sense as you posted. I'll edit my previous post.

Scott (@jscharlton), there's a typo in the details for the second (EOYO) usage rights; you have it listed as "Even Year Float" when it should be "Odd Year Float." Probably best to fix that along with adding the MF details.

Here are the exact details.
2BR PLAT+: Accrues 148100 Star-Options/Year. GOLD+ Accrues 81000-Star-Options/Year. Since this does not transfer on a resale, it doesn't matter.
2BR MF-2020: $745.28 x 2 = $1490.56 [Not including Club-Dues]
VSN Membership-Fee: $155 [+$50 for multiple contracts]
