Hello all-new to this, I just read that the Westin Lagunamar is offering all inclusive packages, does anyone know if there is a way to add this to a stay reserved through our starwood vacation ownership? We are going in january. Thanks.
"SPG® Kids Pass Program
The SPG Kids Pass program is an all-inclusive dining program created with our youngest guests and their parents in mind.
For a flat daily rate, children ages 12 and younger of Starwood Preferred Guest® members can enjoy all-inclusive access to a variety of dining options, including children's menus, buffets (where available) and beverages, at select participating properties during their stay.
To take advantage of the SPG Kids Pass program, sign up when you check in or anytime during your stay."
This is about the only thing all-inclusive that I could find.
Further investigation...on westin website, I did find where they do offer, when you book a room, you can sign up for then, looks like about $100 per person. I don't know what the price would be for exchanges-timeshare?? With only 2 restaurants, imo, it would not be worth it.
Starwood is trying to find a way to compete with the all-inclusive hotels in Cancun for the hotel traveler. For the timeshare traveler all-inclusive is silly, when we know the benefits of at least having your own coffee and snacks (and maybe breakfast and lunch) in the villa.
I'd rather see Starwood come up with better plans like this at resorts like Harborside, where you would be more than happy to spend an entire week on property. The current meal plan at Harborside is too restrictive and too expensive. I guess it's a good thing if they are trying to create ways to make our vacations more interesting. I just don't see Lagunamar as the right place to do this.
