In just a few minutes I will be cancelling our two weeks of OceanFront at The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North. Week-One is arrival Friday Sep 25 for 7 nights. Week-Two is arrival Friday Oct 2 for 7 nights. Each reservation is for a 1-bedroom Premium.

I'm posting this in case you wish to grab them. We've decided we are going to stay put.

Sorry to hear you're cancelling your vacation, too. :( I hated giving up my oceanfront reservation in October, but I'm holding out hope that we'll be able to salvage the late November portion of the trip. At this point, who knows?

I contacted a couple of employees I know. One of them works in the spa and the other is in food service. Neither have been called back in for the proposed August 1 opening (their words). Anyway, we have reservations for two weeks in Feb 2021 and will make some for September 2021 for Nanea. Everything seems to be changing daily and not always in the right direction. :(

Yes, really bummed for you having to give that up. I guess our concern for check in about 2 weeks before your scheduled arrival is just as concerning. We have until Monday to cancel without restrictions. Leaning strongly to cancelling our September trip too.

In reviewing where Hawaii is in opening up and where the mainland is with increasing COVID cases, I anticipate Gov Ige will delay the opening or change the rules. We've gone to Hawaii (primarily Maui) each year for the past 14 and sometimes twice a year. We had two weeks scheduled in April and also two in September/Ocober this year. Now both have been cancelled. We'll wait and hope next year will be more normal like we have come to know Maui.

BTW, I just checked and both OF weeks are still available!

I agree, I feel he will change the date or change something. We will see.

With upsurge in cases, I’m wondering if Gov. Ige can’t complete the partnership with CVS to provide tests for those going to Hawaii. I wouldn’t feel right if I could easily get a voluntary test to go on my vacation and there are those needing tests that can‘t get them. can you imagine the bad PR Hawaii and CVS would get with that announcement when so many in hot beds of Covid-19 can’t get a test. No wonder there’s so much inventory of high quality time share weeks that would never be available simply online.

We cancelled our 3 weeks in September for all of the reasons mentioned. I believe they will change the rules Of entry. We did keep our plane reservations for now since we can get them credited as of now until July 31. We will watch, but I doubt we will go.

Add 2 more WKORVN weeks cancelled in September from us, both from II inventory. Not OF, but both were 1 bedroom units.
