= $21.15 per night

WPORV Studio (2019):
TAT Tax-TXLS $11.05 per night

Maui

WKORV 1-Bed Premium (2022):
Owner Room Tax - County $2.71
Owner Room Tax State $9.27
= $11.98 per night

WKORV-N 1-Bed Premium (2022):
Owner Room Tax - County $3.00
Owner Room Tax State $10.26
= $13.26 per night

WKORV Studio (2023):

For the 1BR side of the OFD it was $24.57 room tax plus $7.19 county tax. Surprised it’s so much different than OFC.

The tax allocation for timeshares was recently changed. The front desk said it was effective in early February. My recent stay at WKORV-N last month resulted in the following taxes:

2BR OV: County tax: $5.89 State tax: $20.11 Total: $26.00
Studio IV: County Tax: $0.92 State tax: $3.14. Total: $4.06
1BR IV: County tax: $4.97 State tax: $16.97 Total: $21.94

Studio + 1BR Taxes = 2BR Taxes

The Studio taxes used to be higher before. Now the 1BR tax is much higher than before, as well as the taxes for the 2BR.

Damn, that's pricey. $26/night, so $182/week just for taxes. Incredible. And still they want to collect MORE taxes from those who rent out their units, in addition to the taxes collected at checkout.

Studios used to have a bigger percentage of the 2BR tax bill. I don't know why they went down while the 1BR portion went up. I think taxes were something like $15-$20 for the 2BR in years past.

That would indicate a studio tax of around $4.71 which is in line (+15%) with what was indicated in 2023. Strange that something that is around 50% of the size of the 1BR is only ~16% of the tax?
