Now that Palazzo Naidi is leaving the Bonvoy family I need to get a replacement 5 night points stay for June.
The two “best” options for me available during my dates are Westin Excelsior (240K) €387 and Elizabeth Unique Hotel, a Member of the Design Hotels (280K) €627.
I have done a search and many on TUG are happy with the Westin. We are Titanium so expect we would get a nice upgradEd room and daily breakfast. Wondering if there is a concierge lounge at this property?
The Elizabeth looks really cool.
“Elizabeth Unique Hotel marries the Rome of yesterday with finely appointed, art-filled opulence of the moment. Set in a gloriously restored 17th-century palazzo in the heart of the capital’s historic center amid the picturesque Via del Corso area, the 33-room townhouse is a hive of sophisticated design and international allure. Arched walls, lacquered wooden panels, reproduced antique wallpaper prints, canopy beds, couture fabrics, and carefully curated artwork set the stage. Through a private entrance adjacent to the city’s top restaurants and boutiques, guests are greeted by a majestic double-height entrance that leads to a refined lobby and reading room warmed by an open fireplace”
And this

My concern is that at such a small property there will likely not be a room upgrade. The room available for Points was the smallest room in an annex; apparently there is a separate building nearby with 6 rooms. But I made the reservation yesterday and I have already heard from the concierge. Now that’s customer service!
Has anyone stayed at the Elizabeth?
Thoughts on either property?
Thanks!
