We have friends staying at WDW for 5 nights at the end of June. Anyone who has stayed there, do you have any recommendations for a villa request other than a high floor? TIA. CJ
Not necessarily a preference as you probably need to go there more than once to be able to express one but we were in Bldg 9 when we stayed there, about as far away from the main activities as you can get but it suited us as it is close to the quiet pool and gave us chance to exercise our legs with walks up to where the 'action' was.
My true recommendation would be to have them change their reservation to Maui, it's much nicer there
I think it depends mostly on what you want to be closest to, as the resort is fairly spread out. For example, it’s a faintly good walk (or cart ride) to the main pool from any of the buildings. Maybe it has changed, but the last time we were there in November, that is the only pool that had any kind of service or open water slide.
Thanks EnglishmanAbroad and rcv82 for your replies. I will relay your suggestions to my friends! June and July are super hot, so I know that they will want to be near the main pool. Thanks, again! CJ
If you want to be near the main pool, Bldg. 2 is good, top floor especially! It's also very close to the tennis courts (& pickleball when the temporary net is up); and to the small market store for Starbucks coffee in the morning. We also like Bldg. 5, top floor. It's in the middle of the complex so easy walking to all the pools. Keep in mind that the smaller one bedroom can be a good choice on the second to the top floor if you can grab an end unit. No one above you and you get corner views!
The slides and food service are now open at all the pools that have them (slides at main pool and Ironwood pool, food and Beverage at main pool and Palo Verde pool.)
We like to stay in buildings 8 or 9, near the quiet pool and away from the crowds. It’s only a couple of minute walk across the parking lot for the Ironwood or Palo Verde pools from there too. We usually spend some time at each of them. But it depends on what you want. I walk between building 9 and the front of the property where the main pool is at least a couple of times most days when we are there. It’s maybe a ten minute walk, or they have frequent carts going by that can give you a ride (or you can call for a cart.). But if you’re going in the summer, the walk will be a little less pleasant.
I think pretty much everything has reopened on the property with the exception of the Agave Grill. And they’re still not doing midweek housekeeping.
Thanks MarineBlue! I'll place a request for the top floor of Building 2 for my friends. CJ
Addendum: Sorry MarineBlue! I thought I posted this yesterday, but I got interrupted!

Thanks daviator! I'll let my friends know about the path between building 9 and the front of the property, and also about the carts that go by since they will be there at the end of June. CJ
