Westgate timeshare takeback

Hweree ello.
I have never posted before but just wanted to advise what happened when I wanted to return my timeshare with Westgate.
I had a one bedroom unit with Westgate Elara that I purchased before it was even built.
I tried to return it through the Legacy system. I was told first that I didn't have a timeshare with Westgate.
That confused me as I was never notified otherwise. I thought the fees went to Westgate.
Well, after getting different stories from different departments, I contacted Hillton who somehow seemed to own the unit.
Long story short, Hilton took it with no money paid by me. Still not sure how it got transferred to them but don't really care as it is off
our hands.
