I purchased a floating "value" week timeshare in October of 2010. I paid cash and was promised an extra value week and was to be grandfathered in for "value" weeks in November and December, They were in the process of changing them to "red" weeks. I have the chart showing these weeks were indeed "value" weeks. I used my free week this year and when I went to make a reservation for November of 2012 was told I would have to pay $500.00 as this was now a 'Red" week. We went over this with several managers before I purchased this as November was the only time of year I wanted. I am not senile so I'm assuming I was blatantly lied to.
I am in the process of trying to rectify this situation. I'll bring them to court if I have to.
Any advice or comments would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are dealing with Wastegate. If you didn't know it before you do now. Anything they say means nothing and they will change the "rules" anytime they feel it will benefit profits or sales. If you can get out do so or you will regret everyday until you are free of this convicted group of slime. So sorry you got hooked into a purchase with them.

If it isn't it writing, "it never happened". They can probably afford better lawyers than you can.

Sorry you've learned a hard lesson. All promises need to be a part of the contract. Otherwise, they're just saying whatever they need to say to make the sale.
