Westgate in the Mid 2000s

So my parents apparently used to have a Westgate resort. What kind, I have no clue. I was like 15-17 and just enjoying the Orlando Breeze.

But this morning in a random conversation about the timeshare we had at one point, my mom said that "when it came time to renew, they simply decided not to renew (their "lease?") or whatever

What does this mean? What kind of timeshare did they have?

Man, we got really lucky that we didn't end up in one of these "deeded leases" or whatever that people are regretting 10 years down the road, as my parents would never travel like that now.

If i had to take a wild guess based on where they are located in Orlando, I think it was Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa...

It could be that your parents simply stopped paying annual maintenance fees.
