Hey all, I am a DVC member who was super excited about the Grand California Villas but am frustrated by the rumored/leaked point chart. So now I am exploring other options in Anaheim for a close to DL timeshare. I know Westgate is building a timeshare in Garden Walk and I wanted to see what you all know about it, or other resorts in the DL area. I am familiar and like point based systems but am open to suggestions/advice/input/criticisms and thoughts!

The one I am familiar with (my parents own there) is Marriott's Newport Coast Villas. A bit of a drive to Disneyland (40 min) but right on the coast, and a beautiful resort. Definitely worth considering.

Ive stayed at Marriott NCV whenever I visit Disneyland. Its has a great location, 30 minutes to Disneyland and close to all the beaches. Newport, Laguna etc. Not to boad a drive to San Diego. If not, Lots of things to do in Newport beach.

Worldmark just opened a huge new TS at DL. Shell vacations has one there too.

But as long as you don't mind driving in from the coast, I'd buy at the coast. NCV is my first choose but Monarch grand is much cheaper and only a little farther down the coast in Dana Point.

Thanks all. . however since I live an hour from Disneyland, if I get a timeshare it will be right near Disneyland and not an hour away. . I can just do that drive from home. :)
