Has anyone used Wesley Financial? What was your experience? And were they able to cancel a mortgage?

If you had used the Search function here on TUG, you would have found links to these numerous threads about WF:

https://tugbbs.com/forums/search/20798/?q=Wesley+financial&c[title_only]=1&o=date

They all have negative, unfavourable reviews of this company.

BTW, no company, law firm, or charity is able to cancel a mortgage. What are you hoping to accomplish by using WF?
They are claiming they can cancel what we owe on our mortgage. I don't believe them, but curious if, in fact, anyone has had a successful experience.

Why do you ask?
I've understood that you can NEVER get out of your mortgage. Wesley is claiming that they can; so curious if anyone has had success in cancelling or reducing the mortgage amount.

The best and only way to getting out of your mortgage? Work hard and pay it off.

There are no easy outs on mortgage commitments (other than bankruptcy)

The old adage applies... If it seems too good to be true it probably is.... E.g. While I personally haven't used Wesley Financial it must be a scam of some sort or another. They are promising something that can't be done (cancelling a mortgage).

The best way out of a mortgage: (1) Deed back; or (2) Refinance it...
1. with a low-interest personal loan, or failing that...
B. with a low-interest mortgage at a credit union or bank.
... (but they'll want to secure it with property of actual value).

I got banned from Wesley’s fb, with my comment deleted, for steering a TS owner to a deedback program at a cheaper fee than Wesley. Does this seem like a company that cares about TS owners?

Ironically I just heard radio advertisements from them yesterday evening. Maybe there regularly on in my area and it was just selective awareness. Pitch was TS only thing you buy that you don't know the cost upfront and it is never ending. Followed we get you out or you don't pay anything. Standard tactics I guess....

I know that you can reduce the mortgage interest, but it is not possible to get out of the mortgage without paying for it.

Bankruptcy certainly isn't always necessary. In many cases, just defaulting and letting them foreclose will get you out of a mortgage (goes for timeshares and traditional real estate). Need to check state laws to see if there is recourse on unpaid debt that the foreclosure sale doesn't cover.

I am about to cancel my mortgage by selling my house. Didn't need use any 'specialty finance business', either.

Reminds me of a billboard I saw recently - "Start your bankruptcy for $99" what a deal!

If you prove fraud in the inducement you can legally get out w/o paying and maybe get refund for payments made.

I hear this same advertisement this morning on a local television and radio stations (Hampton Road area in Virginia).
His ad sound very good. However, IMHO, I would not used this company.

I always laugh when I hear that commercial, b/c anyone who makes that comment is not someone who I would do business with.

Let's see, I bought my house,- I was certainly shocked at the extra cash required at closing - the maintenance keeps going up - the taxes keep going up - it's a never ending contract that will go to my heirs, etc.

Suppose Wesley can cancel my house mortgage?

Go on Google and look up VO GROUP TIMESHARES. The guy who runs Wesley Financial was a manager at VO GROUP, which was sued out of business for doing what they're doing now. Last year, Wesley Financial was kicked off BBB because they had an F rating having stolen thousands from many timeshare owners, essentially timeshare owners went to the BBB to get their money back but WF said the owners' foreclosure was a "win" and they do not deserve their $$$ back.

Even if that is true, you have to be able to prove fraud. What proof would one have of fraud that would stand up in court?

Right now you have one liability, the money you owe for your timeshare. The moment you sign with any exit company you will add another liability, the money you owe them.

If Wesley claims they can win in court for you, have they shown you cases they have won in situations similar to yours?

You are not alone. I was also banned from their FB page for advising someone away from Wesley Financial.

I also had the courage to write a comment on their fb page and was banned. Perhaps we can draw the attention of justice to their page so that they can check them out. Because I've read that a lot of people have had unpleasant experiences with them. Anyway, I am not a mortgage expert and if I have a question on this topic, I prefer to hire a specialist, because there is no room for mistakes when we talk about mortgages. When I had some problems with the mortgage papers, I found a company that provides advice. I am glad that I've found reliable specialists in this field.
