Were you able to link 2 AMEX Aspire to one Hilton Honors#?

We have one HH# which is a Mutual account with 2 members (both the spouses for example) which came with the purchase of HGVC. When I got the AMEX Aspire card I was able to link it to that existing HH#. When my wife got hers , she was not able to link it (Amex was rejecting the HH# since she is the secondary account holder in HGVC/HH) and was forced to get a separate HH#.

Hilton sometimes does not let you book a 1 night reservation, it has to be 2 or more. In this situation I am forced to book with 1 reward cert + points instead of using 2 certs. The CSR is unable to make a singe reservation as the certs are in two accounts. When Hilton lets you do 1 night reservation, then it is fine, I make 1 reservation in each account to get 2 night reservation.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

I have a business card and two personal cards and all are linked to the same account. I would check on the award bonus as I had to wait to qualify for that, they have a disclaimer about so many bonus rewards in a certain time frame.

We had two separate AMEX surpass cards and they were linked to the same HH number. We closed one because we are planning to get another Aspire for DH once travel recovers. If we cannot link the accounts I am not sure we want to pay $450 this card.

I haven't heard of Hilton requiring 2 night reservations. Is this new? Where are these located?

I have only experienced the two night minimum in popular tourist locations, usually on weekends. That in a policy across many hotels, not just Hilton. Basically the hotel does not want to sell a single night if almost everyone wants two or more weekend nights. They would likely end-up with unsold weekend night.

Yes, it can be hassle to setup a multi-night reservation with multiple payment methods, such as certificates, points, and cash...

Some in Ocean City MD, and Virginia Beach VA. If you try to book a Friday it will say room not available, but if you book friday and saturday together it will be available. Some has sat& sun requirement, some has Friday & Sat requirement

Ah! That's why. Places we have never traveled. Traveling in the west, Hawaii, NYC and Europe we had never seen this before. I hope this is not a trend. It will make it difficult to use the weekend certs.

So, when you login to your various Amex accounts, on the HH Points Section, do you see the same member # on all the accounts? BTW does both your personal cards belongs to you or two people? If it is different numbers then they probably linked them all together. I called them up and they linked both the HH accounts. Now when I login to both amex accounts I see them having different HH#, but the same # of merged points. I just need to wait and see whether my upcoming points will be posted properly...

We also have 2 Aspire cards linked to the same Mutual account.

Well, I just checked and I see it on my account. I'll have to wait until mrs. brp gets back from work to ask her to check. But when she spends on the card, it goes to the right place.

As to the certs, they don't actually post to the account, AFAIK. They just come as an email that one has to reference when calling (unlike Hyatt and Marriott). So, there is no "posting" for us and we just call.

Cheers.

Our experience with certs is the same as @brp Unlike Bonvoy which posts certs in your online account, you have to call and make the reservation. They will find the cert under your HH account number.

yes, you guys are right, Certificate is just an email, but it should have the HH# in it. I will be interested to know whether both the certs refer to the same HH#

I found mine, but I can't find one that mrs. brp sent to me. But mine didn't have the Step 2 that you have. I only had a and 3 (And 3 was called 2 :)). I have nothing referencing the HH number in the entire email.

Cheers.

Looks like they just started adding that step in the last few months. I checked my wife's certificate from January which looks like this with no reference to HH#. BTW, did Mrs.brp's amex online account had the same HH# as yours?

I have 2 cards linked to same Hhonors, but they are different AmEx Hilton cards. And it has been several years since I had 2 different ones on there, but I may have needed to email them to get both cards connected. I do remember needing to email for help with Hhonors in the beginning, but I don't remember specifically what it was for.

Apologies, but haven't had a chance to look yet. Will really try today :)

Edit: Just checked and, yes, it shows the same account.

Cheers.
