Welk's Mountain Villas

We're Premier owners at Welk, and have a reservation for next year at the new Mountain Villas, but hadn't seen them yet. When we were there in April, they weren't available to show.
Yesterday, we were in the area, and stopped to see if we could get a look, and one of the Sales guys took the 4 of us up in a shuttle. to look at a finished one. Wow! They are so much nicer than the Villas on The Green. The lockoff side has a king bed, a separate living/kitchen area from the bedroom, and its own washer/dryer. They have a nice balcony, and they're pretty spacious for a lockoff. There is more privacy from the master part, too, and the views of the golf course are from the bedroom, not the living room.
We've been partial to the older villas, and will probably stay in them again. (Can't beat those large kitchens for family visits), but we were impressed with the job they've done on the new ones. Jean

Thanks for the info Jean! :whoopie: If you get by there again maybe you can bring some pictures back for us. Would love to see them. I really enjoy the Welk Resort.

Liz, I'm not sure about the points for part of a unit, but it's 300,000 for a full week at the Mountain Villas. I thought I had a points chart somewhere, but who knows where THAT might be.?

Points per week for Welk resorts - San Diego:

300,000 = 2 Bedroom lock-off
240,000 = 2 Bedroom
180,000 = 1 Bedroom Villa
120,000 = 1 Bedroom Suite

Thanks, HoneyBunny....I guess I need to check the website, and see if the breakdown for the day rates are there. We were told we can get 5 nights in the Mtn. Villas and 5 nights in the old villas for the 300,000 pts.
Heck, I can't even remember what kind of membership we have. I keep calling it Premier, when it's really Platinum. I guess I'll never change..... (sigh)

Here Jaybee, let me save you the time. Here are the breakdowns for Welk resorts in San Diego per night:

2 Bedroom lock-off: Fri & Sat = 75,000/Sun - Thur = 30,000
2 Bedroom: 60,000/24,000
1 Bedroom Villa: 45,000/18,000
1 Bedroom Suite: 30,000/12,000

*minimum 3 nights
