Just got a confirmation for Welk Resort Villas (LW2) 2 bedroom unit for spring break 2013. The confirmation says unit 104. Any idea if that is the unit I will get and where is it?? Never been there before so I know nothing about this resort.
This was kind of like 'emergency" trade with a week that I can not use and I was approaching the 60 day window with II

Unit 104 is in Melody Hill which is the adults only section in a building overlooking the golf course and the check-in building area. It is turned away from the freeway so should be quiet. I think you would have fairly easy access to 2 different rec centers and the theater so it might be a good one. However, I don't know if it's up or downstairs.

You can call a couple weeks in advance and make a request to see if you can get another unit but spring break may not have much flexibility. In addition, different sections are available depending on check-in date so if you will want to call to see what your options are. In Jan, when I was there, the section I wanted was only available for Fri check-in while mine was a Sunday. They weren't full so were able to accommodate my request to shift to a place further away from the freeway.

The units are recently renovated and were large and very comfortable. I really enjoyed the trip and would stay there again. The freeway access and the HOV lanes from Escondido makes it easy access to San Diego.
