Is there a thread anywhere that explains what red week, gold week, platinum week etc etc means? Which "kind" of week do you want?

Thanks!

*Is this a Starwood question?

During any given year, there are weeks of the year that are more desirable, and weeks that are less desirable, for vacationing.

For instance, school holidays are usually popular, ski weeks during the winter, summer at the beach, etc.

Depending on the resort, or exchange company, they use those terms to describe their seasons. But it varies from resort to resort, so there are no universal terms that apply everywhere.

In advertising - everyone claims that their week is "red" or high season - so ignore the words, and look at the actual DATES when you can reserve the timeshare.

The kind of week you want is either:

1) The season you want to travel every year.
or
2) The highest season at the resort - so it will be a good trader
