I checked the Worldmark site and see that they'll be down for the same window. I'm not sure if that's particularly informative, though, since it seems to be the case more often than not anymore with these "vacays."

Both Worldmark and Wyndham (and I believe the other systems) all use a common back end now - and they share the same semi-agile development process using two week sprints - so it's typical that we will see similar announced outage windows along this line. I'd surmise this outage may introduce some of the previously announced upcoming features in the email from Wyndham sent in September timeframe.

It seems every time they do an undate they cause new errors. Get ready for new non-fuctioning parts of the WEB Site.

If anyone was hopeful that it would stop telling you to log in when you are logged in, sorry to dash your hopes. Stil broken and in fact, maybe even more broken since it is tough to get around that.

Having done so, I did notice that there was a button to search +/- 3 days from date range.

If you're referring to the +/- 3 nights from date range feature - or what was previously called the Flexible Dates checkbox search function - this has been there since the inception of the new website back in 2020 - what you're likely referring to is the more recent UI changes that altered how you toggle this feature on and off - screenshot below for reference:

You can also choose the Flexible Dates section in the upper right of the date range dialog box, and set anywhere from 2-14 nights and choose up to two consecutive months to search for a string of available dates in those months. Screenshot below for reference. IIRC this feature was introduced last month (September) - and was part of the email announcements sent for upcoming features:

I don't know if it's just me or not, but the new "hold on your resorts are loading" animation hung many times today to the point I had to exit and go back into the website to clear it.

These are the notes from the latest enhancement, if anyone hasn't seen them. I haven't played with dropping a night yet. That's a nice additional feature!!

I have seen an issue, since 10/29 with selecting a date in the monthly calendar, and then can't select an end-date. Frustrating, but clear dates cleans up the issue and I just don't select that date again.

Enhancements:

  • Waitlist Text Option: You can now add a U.S. mobile phone number to a waitlist request to receive a match notification via SMS text message. Standard messaging rates may apply.
  • Modify Nights: You can now remove up to to three (3) nights from eligible booked reservations. Even better, modifying a reservation to remove nights and add nights can be completed in the same transaction.
  • Bonus Time: You can now book reservations at Club Wyndham resorts paying entirely with cash instead of points.
  • Flexible Search: Select a destination or resort name, plug in dates, and toggle the new “+/- 3 nights from date range” checkbox to search for flexible vacation options with greater clarity than the prior “My dates are flexible” option.
  • Recent Search: Picking up where you left off? When you log back into your owner website and select the search bar, you’ll now see your recent search history for destinations and/or resort locations.

Bug Fixes:

  • Monthly Availability Calendar: A bug preventing inventory from appearing in the monthly calendar view has been identified and removed.

My best guess is dropping nights still follows the rule it has to be 15 days from checkin? I read somewhere that rule still applies (makes sense to me)? This would be for dropping nights. Adding nights, again guessing, can (still) be done up to 3 days from checkin (I realize documentation says 2 days - but plan on 3 days) - the cutoff is about 2.5 days to add nights to a reservation).

My one quibble, and it’s just a quibble for a future enhancement, is that the remove nights feature doesn’t seem to allow for us to change the original start date unless we are adding nights. So in other words, let’s say my start date is 11/10/2024 and I wanted to arrive on 11/11/2024 instead. I cannot shorten my stay by one night by changing the original start date. I can add nights and lengthen the stay and change the start date to 11/7/2024 for example, but I cannot remove 11/10/2024, changing the start date to 11/11/2024. That said I haven’t played around with the remove nights too much so perhaps this is possible and I’m just not following a certain order of operations.

That does make a certain amount of sense. If that were allowed, it essentially moves the 10-month booking window three days earlier.
Yeah, without that you could run into the DVC problem of people “walking” reservations. Not that you really need to walk a reservation in Wyndham like you do DVC.

I talked to Owner Services yesterday... here are some rules they read to me (no idea where to find them on the website):

Not applicable for:
* existing reservations prior to implementation (Nov 1st was his guess?) (This may give you incentive to rebook something (if you can) that you might think you'll want to adjust later?
* bonus time reservations
* reservations booked using the points rental feature
* reservations booked using borrowed points
* reservations booked with Club Pass (comething to do with cannot modify if Transient Occupancy Tax) - this was fuzzy to me if this is one in the same condition or 2 different conditions (as I've done neither).

* You can modify once on each end (add or subtract)

* Cannot drop if less than 14 days from checkin (and we've never been able to add if 2-3 days from checkin

* Points protection remains on reservation
