We're going to Ocean Watch for four days the first week in November. We're longtime owners elsewhere but have never been to Myrtle Beach. What's the weather liable to be like in early November? Beach walking a possibility? We'd like to avoid renting a car, if possible. Are there decent restaurants within walking distance of the resort? Thanks in advance...

Hooks and Barrel Restaurants is one and there are several nice restaurants across the highway in the shopping next to the PUBLIX grocery store.
There is a McDonald's on the corner and the restaurants are all located behind Mc Donald's.

Blueberry Grill for breakfast was very good.

Walking distance from the Ocean Watch resort. There is a Marriott Hotel located beside Ocean Watch that have a full service restaurant .

Weather should still be nice at that time. But, it can change at any time. The first part of the month should still be in the 70’s.

You're looking at the options on property then a minimum of half a mile walk to anything else. If you're OK with a taxi or ride share, you should be fine but by the time you pay for transportation from and to the airport, you'll likely be far better off with a rental. Personally, this is an area I would not go without a car. Weather that time of year is often decent but definitely hit or miss.

You can also, walk to PUBLIX and to a Fresh Market grocery store. Both of these grocery stores sell meals to carry out. There was a new restaurants under construction in February of this year located beside the Hook and Barrel restaurant.
I'm sorry but I do know the name of this restaurant.

Also, Ocean Watch does sale some light menu foods.

Please enjoy your stay at Ocean Watch.

Also OceanWatch does do dinners a couple of times a week and we were very impressed the night we got the prime rib dinner. I'm pretty sure they usually do a Low Country Boil one night as well. Just make sure you make your reservations early if you decide to get a dinner.

Weather can surprise you. We were there in 2020, the first week in November and I think we had one day that we could go to the pool. The rest of the days were in the 40s-50s. So, you never know….be prepared for cooler weather just in case.

There was only one day the first week of Nov 2020 that the high of the day didn’t reach at least 60 degrees! Was only in the high 50’s that day. Three other days it was in the 70’s. Night time temps can definitely dip into the 40’s. Gotta love the internet. https://weatherspark.com/h/m/20111/...-in-Myrtle-Beach-South-Carolina-United-States

Didn’t look at Hook and Barrel the other day when we drove by but on the opposite corner of 82/17 they are now building a dental office and a Bojangles!
