Tonight, I had pork chops smothered in fried apple + pecan bits at Cracker Barrel.
They weren't the best chops (thin and bit chewy) but I liked the flavoring.
I may try it at home.

While at our apartment here in Belize I use a Coleman Roadtripper gas grill to cook on. We brought it down with us the year we drove down. The grill has cast iron grates and the center of each grate is solid over the burners, so in effect there are 2 'frying' spots in addition to the open grills. I get the grills good and hot then cook our pork chops on the center sections for just a few minutes each side. The chops are very moist (with no brining) and a little crispy on the outside. DH thinks they taste much better than when I grill them on open grills at home and the best part is no fry pan to clean! They are on the menu for tomorrow along with steamed broccoli and some plantain that I picked in the backyard this afternoon.

I might need to put an air fryer on my Christmas list for next year, I hear so many rave reviews about them.

so fried is better ;). I kind of knew that, just that we are all trying to stay away from it

Going to try my new toy. Sous Vide in brine and then blot off and quick pan fry for a crust.
