We had an exchange to Morritt's Grand last week. Were supposed to return to the States on Saturday, but hurricane Gustav had other plans for us. But I must say that Morritt's manager, Dutch Hoffman, and the Morritt's staff did a fantastic job of keeping us informed and making sure that we were safe. Everybody in oceanfront and ground floor units were given new room assignments on the second and third floors. We were allowed to stay extra night(s) at no charge, and were even treated to a complimentary barbeque in the lobby on Friday afternoon. The damage from Gustav seemed to be fairly minimal: the roof of the building we had been asigned sustained some damage, as did the dock, and some trees were uprooted, but that seemed to be the extent of it.
