We own an Ultra Premium SBR 2 bedroom, deeded week 32. I just looked this up.

I noticed last year and the year before, and now next year as well, I see a reservation already reserved for week 32 every year, and I see the one for 2025 on my account now. Maybe I can deposit this Ultra Premium Fixed Week into II? Has anyone tried it?

You should be able to deposit it now. I own an Ultra Premium Fixed Unit/Fixed Week 27 and a standard Fixed Week 27 at Harborside, and there is no difference in trading power in Interval. Vistana/Marriott deposits whatever they want in place of my actual HRA weeks.

I don’t know if that’s the case across all resorts, but I’d assume so.

I guess the special deposits are just treated as generic deposits.

Marriott might change things after some of us complain about our drop in trading power on our Sheraton weeks, and even my Westin Desert Willow platinum week has had a drop in trading power. I doubt they will, unless they would allow us to deposit specific weeks again.

It was decided many years ago that owners could deposit weeks any time up to 12/31 of that year, and we would get 2+ years to use the weeks, but as an averaged trading power of the week owned. So the SBR weeks are averaged from weeks 9-43 and 47. No matter what week you own, that is the trading power you get. That worked great until a few months ago.

It's all okay because at least 10 weeks at various resorts that I trade into just about every year (Think Orlando) are very easy to get, even still. It's the Westins I am now missing for our Maui whale-season annual trip that will be a loss to us. But if my Marriott weeks are going to pull those via OGS ahead of the Sheratons, it's pretty obvious what I need to do with the Sheraton weeks. Darn.

Time to switch some ongoing searches around and re-think my expectations.

I recall and maybe @DeniseM remembers but when Starwood decided to scr@w their owners by not allowing them to deposit their deeded weeks/reserved weeks in interval certain owners of fixed weeks at SVR? Still were able to deposit their actual week/unit into II.

Maybe she will chime in.

Owners of fixed weeks can still deposit the week they own.

I remember it. We only owned an EOY lockoff at SBP at the time. It was a long time ago. Our grandson was a little one, and he is now 14.

So, I’m curious. Of course you can deposit your fixed week, but are you saying a high TPU fixed week deposited in Interval has more trading power than other like deposits in the same season? How would we know?

Well, a week 32 has a TDI of 150, when I look at the chart on II. The combined trading power of the Gold Plus season is averaged over weeks 9-43 and 47 at Sheraton Broadway Resort.

@rickandcindy23, I got that, I’m just wondering if it’s been validated with a trade test? I’d really like to believe Vistana/Marriott/Interval would give a higher trading value to a fixed week in a prime season, not some blended TDI value. After all, initial owners paid Vistana a premium to get those fixed weeks! But being in the Show Me state, I’d love to see the evidence. I don’t own at SBR, but if you do deposit your week and can do a trade test with other Gold Plus owners, I’d love to see if it makes a difference.

@PamMo I am going to attempt to deposit the week. Dollars to donuts, Marriott will not let me deposit the week as a week 32. It will be a generic deposit like all of the others. If it was truly a week 32, it would show up with a date and would look unlike the other weeks.

Just looking thru my history of SBP and Sheraton PGA ownership.
seems the switch to generic deposits was around 2012?
I sold both those units as the trade power dropped considerably - going from a week 27 SBP to a combine power of 9-43 was drastic.
yes, my trades still look good here but it was with considerable effort on my part.

That's brilliant documentation, @GrayFal! Thanks. There are times I get my hopes up that a Tugger finds something really good that Vistana does for its owners. Unfortunately, most changes cost us more and/or give us less. @rickandcindy23, good luck with an exchange for your summer 2025 unit!

At the time of the switch, there were one or two owners that had a fixed deeded week that did not float at one of the Orlando resorts. Only that owner could deposit as fixed and it showed up as such on their II account.
No one from any of the other resorts posted they were permitted to do so.

It isn't going to let you. If the week has any ability to float internally it can't be deposited as the specific week. It will look like your other weeks the same as other fixed/float weeks that are auto reserved through Vistana but you can cancel the auto reservation and choose another week in your season.

I agree with you. I am pretty sure this is still a float week.
