Congratulations, Anne!

Meadow Lake is a very nice resort, and the area is spectacular. I love Glacier National Park and northwest Montana. In fact, I'm going back there next month. Unfortunately, I'm not staying at Meadow Lake this time. I wish I were, as it is the best resort in the area. Have fun!

I've had an ongoing search for about 2 months and want to know what you used and how long ago you started searching. Just wondering how good my chances are.

I loved that place, so much I rented 2 houses a year later for a small group of friends...bbqs, saunas and all.
You have to get to the 9 hole golf course in Whitefish for dinner. An extravaganza restaurant that puts most other restaurants to shame. Don't let the looks outside fool you.

I used Sedona Springs for the trade. It was just sitting there online yesterday afternoon (it wasn't there in the morning) so I grabbed it.

Can't wait to see Glacier Nat'l Park.

Actually the Whitefish Golf Club has 36 holes! Both 18 hole courses are great and the restaurant is one of the best in the area.

Thanks to a direct exchange (with LynnW) my husband and I spent a wonderful week in early July at Meadow Lake. There is so much to do there! Be sure to take the gondola up Big Mountain at the ski area to get a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. We also really enjoyed Big Fork and the Conrad Mansion Museum in Kalispell.

I am geographically challenged (truly). If we loved the Rockies in BC and Alberta, would we be likely to feel the same way about Big Meadow area?
Thanks,
Liz

Liz,

Yes! because of proximity to Glacier National Park, which is comparable to the Canadian Rockies - for some folks I know, Glacier is even more beautiful, if that's possible.

Meadow Lake sounds very nice, haven't been there, but for location closest to the park, Glacier Wilderness Resort (where we stayed) is even closer and I think would cut driving time, unless you weren't planning to spend the majority of your time inside the park. Probably either resort would be fine, depends on your time priorities, but if you're putting in a search for this area and Glacier Wilderness Resort is avail thru the exchange co. you're using, I'd recommend including it.

No, you wanted to BRAG! LOL! And well you should, that's a great exchange! Congrats!

I have an ongoing request in for the Glacier area for late June/early July for 2009 and Medow Lake is on my resort list. You give me hope.

Just returned from Meadow Lake

I was lucky enough to snag a 2 bedroom in February of 2008 for July/August2008. My oldest son moved to Montana in October so we made a family trip to celebrate my youngest's 21st bday. Our unit was in the oldest building but although dated slightly it was very large and comfortable. We loved the resort, great pool, nice restaurant, great grocery store at the entrance and beautiful golf course although we don't golf. We spent most of our days hiking in Glacier and watching the incredible wildlife show. Shop in Whitefish and Bigfork. Be sure to try huckleberry icecream. Enjoy!!

Anne,

I hit the send button too soon and forgot to ask if you have deposited into II or RCI for the Meadow Lake trade?

LeAnn

Looks like I lost my first post! I just wanted to tell you that I knew that you'd be happy with your SS purchase. And yes, Meadow Lake is a GREAT place. I second taking a trip over to Big Fork - a very artsy community is a beautiful setting.

Enjoy!

We got the trade through RCI. I was surprised because it lists Meadow Lake as a points resort and we only have weeks.
