We went to Mega near Bucerias and let our guard down and said yes to a timeshare tour with Vida resorts. The guy said that it was not the Mayan but a new resort. Of course the next day the taxi pulled into the grand mayan. We had breakfast and stayed for 3 hours just saying no. We were told that the new management promised no pressure! Is that a LIE. I am pretty good at saying no so we did manage to escape and with a few extra pesos in our pockets. Beware it is a tough presentation and they are not nice to you when you say no for the upteeneth time and have seen many closers. We thought that we were going to a new resort! Nothing new but more intense pressure. Never again!
