From WESH-TV in Orlando...

ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney just announced that the Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom will be getting an updated look this summer.
A image of what the updated castle will look like (below) shows dark blue turrets and more gold.

“You may notice this exciting work taking place as these stunning enhancements begin in the coming weeks, continuing through summer,” a blog post from Disney said.

WESH-TV


Disney did not say if anything around the castle be closed or hidden during construction.

It's a beautiful castle. I love the Disneyland castle more, specifically for more color.

I’m looking forward to seeing the castle - the conceptual image looks beautiful to me.

And I’m also so very thankful that they didn’t redo the 25th anniversary birthday cake!

I loved the castle at Disneyland with its new paint job. I told my husband they should repaint Magic Kingdom to something pretty like Disneyland’s castle - looks like they are! It shimmered.
