Disneyworld’s park reservation system opened yesterday for on site resort guests with tickets.

This will be unfair to people staying at nearby resorts. What I am reading about the reservation system is making me angry.

I don't want to stay onsite. Disney is probably loving that idea. Only Disney guests get into the parks?

I love my Marriott stays, and I have October booked at the Marriott. Why go to Orlando having AP's and then turned away at the turnstile because you cannot get a "reservation?" Our AP's are devalued to nearly zero. We took one trip on those passes.

AP holders without Disney resort reservations can make park reservations on Friday 6/26, and offsite guests with other tickets can book 6/28. My feeling is that our big family trip scheduled for December is six months away. Given the many changes that have occurred in the last three months, I expect many more between now and then, and I’m not worried (yet!) about getting into the parks.

Off site APs can only have 3 days reserved at a time. I was tempted to get the refund they are now offering on the remainder of the pass versus just for the days closed but the potential for low lines for rides is a positive to me.

You can still get a park pass reservation. Go to their website and read the instructions. Contact Disney about a refund for your annual pass if you think it won’t benefit you and spend your dollars at Universal. Disney vacation club members that pay a premium for their contracts and those that already paid top dollar for on site reservations at Disney resorts should get first priority. Pass holders like yourself can make park reservations tomorrow or the next day I Think? Check out the website...all is not lost. Believe me, I had steam coming out my ears yesterday when their entire system crashed....no surprise there....so much time wasted. Today everything was fine.
