I am going to stay in a 3 bedroom at Waterside in HH. The reviews mentioned 2 free bikes with the 3 bedroom unit. Does anyone know if the bikes are still offered? If so, are the bikes in the unit, or will I have to order them? Also, does Waterside offer any day trips, and how much? Thanks.

2 free bikes are only bldg 1

only bldg 1 ( numbered 5100) has free bikes--they have a little storage closet with bikes in it, I believe. All of the other units are 5 floors high with no bikes. WE use Pedals, right outside the entrance to rent bikes. They give you a lock and there are bike racks at Waterside by the parking for bikes. Depending on when you go, there are a few activities that you can sign up for at Waterside for a fee. It is a nice, well landscaped resort, with easy beach access--we prefer to walk ourselves via the back road. The pool by bldg 7 and 8 is heated.

Ditto.
We own a 3 bedroom at Waterside by Spinnaker and as stated above only Bldg. 1 has the bikes. I am not sure if anyone could just go and get the bikes out (never tried) but there are many rentals right outside the resort.
Enjoy!

do they charge a fee to do the bike activity there now? I hope not. My kids (and I) loved it when they did the bike ride with the resort person 3 days a week. Last time we were there, they didn't offer it. Don't know why

We stayed at Waterside in March and yes, we had bikes, they were parked outside for our use. We did not use them, but they were available to us. Lot of folks were biking at Hilton Head. We played golf instead. Beautiful place! TerryC
