WATCH OUT Holiday inn weeks are different for 2022

If you check redweek or Rci calendars or anywhere else they indicate that week 12 Saturday is March 19 to March 26, but when I tried to add guest to my reservation they told me that week 12 was March 26 to April 2. They said they sent an email about this but I never got the email , did anyone else.

As a HICV/Orange Lake owner, do not go off the RCI schedule. HICV includes a week 53 every 5-6 year depending on the real calendar which messes up the following year. Many people have showed up a week early because they didnt check the HIVC week calendar.

Asked for a 2022 Points Value Chart, as the website only has 2021 (LAME). WHAT A JOKE. Stood looking over agents shoulder and she didn't have the info. She said HICV doesn't want them to give out wrong info. So I emailed the head of customer experience at the Ridge. She sent a chart with week numbers and "metal status". I had to write her back to see what day of the week it starts!!!??? AND I'm guessing Jan 1st, Sat is week 53 from 2021 (assuming a Sunday start to the week) and not part of 2022. Go figure. Let me know if you figure it out.

No. I never received an email regarding this change.

I've found out that HICV weeks start on Friday, it seems. So in 2022 week 12 would start March 18.

2021 had 53 weeks, not 2022. If you own week 52 that means you own 53 as well so this past year you could have checked in again

The reservations were for 2 one week stays. They aren't necesarily linked or a single 2 week reservation. You checked out of your week 52 reservation (if that is your deeded week) and did not check in for your week 53 reservation. It would be like owning week 12 and 13. If you don't mention when you check in that you have 2 weeks and would like to check in now for both (and get a parking pass) for both weeks, they aren't going to know that it is you that has the reservation for the following week.

This is not correct. Week 12 for the year 2022 begins on March 25, 26 or 27th.

Orange Lake/HICV has always had a different calendar than RCI in certain years, at least for the 22 years I have owned there.

I bought my week 52 from the developer in 2000 always made sure I was going on the correct dates.

its very frustrating when this happens (royal resorts is another example)...

one reason i really want to redo the marketplace to stick with just calendar dates....and simply use week numbers as placeholders instead as they are simply arbitrary.
