At update this week, at Royal Vista in Pompano Beach, the salesman remarked that we paid full price for points for our wintertime stay in south Florida. I replied, yes, you have to book a year ahead, you can't get into south Fla. in first quarter of the year, by trying to book 60 days out. He said this: "if you were a PR owner you would not be paying full price for these bookings you have.
True or False?
thank you

I’ve heard the same thing from two different sales updates now - PR is the only ownership type that has an inventory guarantee. AFAIK it’s not actually true.

False. The only resorts that a PR owner might see additional availability from 30-60 days is at PR Resorts for PR units.
There’s no PR Resorts in south Florida. Clearwater & Bonnet Creek would be the closest PR Resorts to south Florida.
PR units still available at 30 days are available to all owners

True only in the sense that a PR owner would also be VIP Platinum. A VIP Platinum owner would get a 50% discount 60 days at Royal Vista before check-in IF ANYTHING WERE AVAILABLE!!

I booked January 2021 weeks at Royal Vista last December. Did the same the years before but have yet to see a discount in the winter. Might see one in September or October if there's a hurricane coming.

False.
South Florida is same for all of us. Might get a week within 60 days at PalmAire. Or a few nights at Sea Gardens. But forget about a week at Royal Vista during snowbird season.

There are now enough PR owners that we compete with each other for PR units so they go quickly at Bonnet and Clearwater.

Salesman lying. What a surprise.

Wes.
