Just a warning to anyone with an ongoing search in RCI Weeks. I got an email yesterday saying that they had found a match, and I had three days to confirm before losing it. When I logged on the next day (today) to decline, I learned that RCI had confirmed it earlier that day without my authorization. I had not chosen the auto-confirm option.
So, if you get an email with a match that you can't use, be sure to make sure that RCI didn't confirm it without your approval.
It wasn't a one-time thing. RCI just confirmed another vacation without my approval. I'm glad that I caught it before the 24-hour grace period to cancel was over. Has RCI changed their policy to auto-confirm without telling anyone, or is this a continual computer system bug?
It isn't a written policy or bug. It is just the way the system is working and they don't seem inclined to change it. This has been happening since October. I think yours is the 3rd post to point it out. At this point if you prepay for the search (non platinum member) and a match is made, assume it will autoconfirm and if you may not want it you will need to check frequently because you only have until close of business the following day to cancel within the grace period.

If you have a platinum account and haven't pre paid the exchange they are not going to auto confirm you in anything. At least that is what has been happening to me. I have matched several times in the last several months and no auto match just holds.
