and were thinking about it really hard, and all that it comes with and it realizing it’s goin to be way too costly in the longer run. we would like to get out of it/ cancel it..
any pointers on how to cancel to go about this plzzz anyone ?

You should look at the materials they gave you, there should be very specific instructions on how to rescind. You must follow those instructions exactly, keep copies of your rescission notice, and mail it to the exact information shown in your materials, along with the purchase/resort materials they gave you when you purchased. Get a proof of mailing when you take it to the Post office. Don't delay, it must be postmarked within the rescission period allowed in the State where you purchased the timeshare.

Florida allows timeshare rescission notification delivery by all delivery methods. You can email, fax, mail or do it in person but there has to be proof of the delivery. To me it makes sense to email because the email is time stamped. If you really want to be certain, you would certify your rescission letter and send a copy of the certified rescission letter via certified mail.

Be sure to include all of the buyers names that signed the contract in the letter. You don't need to include an explanation of why you are cancelling.

They won't ask for them, imo. Get the letter & email sent before your time to do so expires is the important thing.

Mail them back under a separate cover via a trackable means (likely USPS Media Mail). Maintain the postal receipt and tracking number. Done!

And remember that if you like the concept of timeshare but just not the high prices charged by developers, once you rescind this developer purchase, you can find some cheap resales or sometimes freebees right here on TUG. That is how many of us here got into timesharing. We are enjoying one of our oceanfront timeshares on the NC Outer Banks this week, and our maintenance fee is a fraction of what it would cost to rent our 2BR unit. We bought resale at a fraction of developer prices.

I strongly advise they send it via certified mail in addition to whatever electronic means they are using.
