Walk to anything from Ventura at Boca Raton?

I read somewhere the were maybe some restaurants about 1/2 mile from resort. What all is there for dining/shopping w/in walking distance?

From Ventura to Hillsboro Dr. is about a mile south. At A1A & Hillsboro you'll find 3 nice restaurants, JB on the Beach, 123 Ranch, Luna Rosa, you'll also find 2 casual restaurants, Flannigan's and Whales Rib. There is some shopping there but not much, beach store with t shirts and such, convience store like a 7/11 type and a couple of other small shops. Any other shopping like groceries or the mall you really need to drive to.

Ventura is a nice place to stay, enjoy your trip!

Although nothing fancy, Ventura is on of our favourite resorts. The staff is wonderful, and they make you feel so welcome! I wish we were going there!

Whale's Rib is a lot of fun!!! We like to go down there, sit at the bar and just listen to the bartenders and other patrons. We eat at the bar if we're not with other people. Haven't been in a while but.... The reason I mentioned sitting at the bar is that it is a VERY popular place with very reasonable prices. For that reason it is a speedy in and out - they are very efficient. Linda
