It is 5:15 p.m. Central Time and I needed to call MVCI to cancel a couple of points reservations. I figured at this time of day it should not be bad, but the greeting message told me the wait time would be "30 minutes or more." I have not generally experienced a major problem in the past. Have others been having trouble getting through recently?

I just realized that I called the basic number earlier so I called back the number for the Presidential desk and had zero wait. I didn't realize the treatment of elites was so dramatically better than the others. Not sure how I feel about that.

good evening...

Every business should take care of "high end" customers that spend lots of coin with the organization...

Vegas casinos comp the "High Rollers"..

The Tampa Bay Lightning show me more love (24 year 6 seat seasnon ticket member) than the average single game customer...

I am all for it...

I guess now, I reallyam arrogant and elitist!!!:whoopie::whoopie::whoopie:

I called this week and got the Presidential desk immediately. I didn't realize it was quicker, but I'm fine with it if it is. After riding in steerage forever because I don't have status with the airlines, I'm happy to be recognized as elite by anyone!

From the DC Points FAQ:

The US Owner Services DC-related telephone number for Owners and Select Members is 888-682-4862; for Executive, Presidential and Chairman's Club Members is 855-682-7736. Also, US DC Members who are able to use those phone lines are assigned a Vacation Ownership Advisor (VOA) whose name is indicated at the top right of the my-vacationclub.com home page. It is not necessary to deal only with that representative; many TUGgers have never spoken with their assigned VOA.

The system is designed to route Owners/Members to the correct line automatically when calling from number(s) associated with their my-vacationclub.com accounts. Each Owner/Member on an account is allowed to attach four personal numbers to the account. To edit the numbers attached to your account, sign in and click on, "My Profile" in the, "Manage My Account" dropdown menu.

I agree to a point and have no problem with faster service for elites. My problem is if the waits for regular owners is excessive like it was this time. Faster service for elites is good in my opinion, but really poor response time for others is not. Maybe it was an anomaly.
