Wait List Question

We waitlisted for a week this summer at Hyatt Ka'anapali. We have the previous week there. Today I added a 3 day wait list as well in case the Sat/ Sun, Mon opened and not the full week. We prefer the 1 week of course. If someone cancels the full week, I'm assuming we would get it and not just the 3 days? I wouldn't think they would split it into a 3 day and 2, 2 day openings but am unclear how that works. Any insight on how Hyatt releases cancelations?

It will likely be available as 7,4,3,2,2 right away, unless it's a holiday week. If it's available, the wait list requests will be filled in the order in which they were made. If you have 7 and 3 in the same request, you don't know which one will get filled. It could well be 3 days. To avoid that, after you already have your 7 day request, make a separate request for 3 days.

Thank you. I made the 7 day request months ago and added the 3 day today , so I will call to separate them and hopefully that won't change the 7 day time stamp. Wish the reps were as knowledgeable as TUG folks!
