I did not see many reviews of the year old Waikiki properly so heres a brief overview. For those visiting Ko Olina, consider adding a few nights at the new Waikiki property. It’s located right off Kalakaua Ave (main shopping and restaurant area). All of the staff were very friendly/helpfull. There is a great rooftop bar and pool area, an owners lounge, gym etc. We had a king studio and it was definitely larger than most studios. Like all Pulse/City Collection properties, owners do have to pay for parking ($62 a night). By the time you add the HI tourist taxes, a night will cost $100. We had a great 3 nights and are now up in Ko Olina for 9 more.

You like the location? That was my main concern is that there are many better situated properties on the beach, plus Ko Olina has such a nice property

I like the location for a short stay (2-3 nights) before going to Ko Olina but, not for an entire week or more. It’s nice to walk out and be right in the heart of Waikiki. It’s small enough that you can always find a couple of chairs by the pool, not always that way at the other large beach resorts.

It is a very different resort and experience than Ko'Olina. You can't really compare the two. We stayed at the Waikiki property for a night in June and found it quite nice. A relatively short walk to a number of restaurants and high shopping in the area. We had a 1BR unit and found it quite comfortable The property also had a nice observation area on the fourth floor. Hot and cold water stations are located on each floor and the owner lounge was quite nice. I published a couple of videos of the property from our trip to my YouTube channel.
