First, I absolutely detest valet parking. But, since there doesn't seem to be another game in town, I've got 3 questions for someone with familiarity to the resort: 1) how early is the valet available to get your car, 2) any insight/opinion into appropriate tip amounts, and 3) who covers damage during valet parking on a rental (the valet is certainly not on my rental agreement)?

thanks

edit: added a third question

Parking valet should have their own insurance to cover damage, but they will deny deny deny. Most small dings or scratches that the rental agency may find probably won't turn up until you return the vehicle and would simply be covered under any CDW coverage you have through your credit card or which you buy through the rental agency. A major incident with a lot of damage is something that the valet should be taking responsibility for. If something were to happen, get their insurance information and provide it to the rental company as well as your own insurance if you have to submit a claim through them.
