As I posted in my "Vintage Bowling Alleys" thread, I was just out on the road for work, visiting bowling centers (59 in total).
I did take in some Wisconsin sights along the way and thought that playing "Road Trip Bingo" would be fun.
Here is the card I set up and daubed along the way:
. . . and this is my card, completed with photos I took representing each block:
As you can see, I got all but three of the blocks filled in. I really thought that while in Minnesota I'd see a moose, and I was told that being in Wisconsin's Northwoods was a lock for bears. Oh well. It was fun and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
In addition to the 59 bowling centers, I visited two US NPS sites (Apostle Islands Nat'l Lakeshore in WI and the Effigy Mounds Nat'l Monument in IA).
I also saw/photographed eight lighthouses (MN and WI) and several things you just don't see all that often . . . like this!
. . . and this . . .
This Amish buggy was "parked" there by the two young men working on the hillside, just off the shoulder of the road.
If I happen to be out and about on a Saturday, a trip through Wisconsin is not complete without a stop at a local Amish bakery. I was in very early on this particular Saturday and wasn't able to pick up an apple or cherry pie because as you can see here, donuts were being prepared first.
