Vistana to Interval Exchange

Hello,
I have used Interval before but it has been a few years. I just exchanged Sheraton Flex points to Interval Saturday evening. I saw the points deduct from my Vistana account but when I access Interval I see no evidence of the points in Interval. I called Interval and the person I spoke with said I wouldn't see the points - I would just have to assume they are there and then request a booking. Is that correct? I thought I recalled more transparency on what my current points in Interval are. I am wrong on that? Thank you in advance.

I believe that is correct. You have to manually track your HomeOptions in II. @kozykritter can probably explain how it works better than I can.

@dioxide45 is correct. You have to manually track your home options that you deposit in Interval as there is nowhere that you can go to see them on deposit or sitting in some type of balance account. The reason why? It's because your home options never actually leave Vistana until you do an actual exchange. What happens is when you assign home options to Interval, Vistana removes them from visibility in your account and does a behind the scenes bookkeeping entry that holds them for use with Interval. When you do a transaction using home options in Interval, Interval makes a request to Vistana to pull that set amount of home options from your account. Only at that time do the exact amount of home options needed to complete the transaction transfer over to Interval and then become visible as part of the exchange transaction history. This is why I keep a spreadsheet of every assignment/deposit of home options that I do along with their expiration date, every time they are used in a transaction, and every time an exchange using them is re-exchanged and recommend that everyone considered doing the same. Otherwise you will have a difficult time reconstructing your use and balance later on.
